Once you contact us, we will schedule a meeting with you at your convenience and location. At the initial meeting, we will discuss your thoughts, your vision, and what you expect from your new home. With those ideas established, we will set up a meeting with our Architect to start designing your home. We will work closely with you and our Architect to make sure every aspect of your home meets your every need. We will review the plans as many times as necessary and offer our comments to improve your home while respecting your individual taste and style.
After the plans are finalized, we will meet again to discuss the finishes for your home so we can provide an accurate proposal for your review, usually in less than 2 weeks. Included with the proposal, will be Graysen Homes’s specifications which outline everything that is included in our proposal in a very detailed manner to ensure we have included everything you want in your home. Lastly, Once you have had the opportunity to review the proposal, we like to discuss it with you to make sure we answer any questions you might have and also to discuss any possible cost savings if needed.
If we are blessed to be chosen as your builder, we can immediately begin acquiring the pre-construction items such as permitting, soils testing, septic design, and slab engineering. Most Home Owner Associations will require these items and others to be submitted to them for approval before any construction can begin, but we also include these in every home we build. The pre-construction process and HOA approval can take up to a month or longer so we want to begin this as soon as possible as well. Even if you are unsure of your builder, we can assist with getting these items completed while you finalize your decision.
Once construction starts, Troy will be there to supervise every aspect of construction. Most builders offer weekly walks with their clients, but at Graysen Homes, we believe you are welcome at your home at any time and we will be happy to meet with you as needed to make sure you are satisfied with the progress. Our team is here to guide you through the selection of your finishes and make sure you know what is needed in the next phase of construction. The material selection process can be overwhelming at times, so we give you plenty of notice of when certain items need to be selected to make sure they are incorporated into the construction process without delay. We are more than happy to accompany you to our specified vendors or your own vendors, to assist with these selections.
Prior to closing, we will walk your home with you and establish the punch list. We will work diligently to correct any items so as not to interfere with your enjoyment of your home. Once you have moved in, you can call or email anyone on our team at any time to address any additional issues that may arise. Every home we build comes with a 1 year workmanship warranty, 2 year Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing warranty, and 10 year structural warranty. Even if your home is out of this warranty period, you can still call or email us and we will be glad to help in any way we can. You home is a huge investment and we want our relationship with you and your family during construction and after to be a continued investment in your happiness with Graysen Homes.
